Wood Lane Underground Map

Wood Lane Underground Map - Wood Lane is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is part of the urban development project Westfield London en route on the Hammersmith & City line and lies at the Wood Lane, near the BBC Television Centre. In 2013, 3.44 million passengers used the station.

The building, designed by Ian Ritchie Architects and built by the construction company Costain Group station building was built on an irregularly shaped plot between Wood Lane and the metro viaduct. The construction work was complex because the building is also located directly above the tunnel on the Central Line, and found mostly held at night in order to affect the railway operation as little as possible. Facilities include a 25-meter-high glass facade, the shell is made of stainless steel kugelstrahligem from gold anodized aluminum and granite. The station encloses the metro viaduct, access to the platforms is via stairs and elevators on both sides of the brick arches.
